Unified Service

The day begins with one big service at Central Campus at 10 AM. This means if you’re used to going to East, or you’re used to going to 9 or 10:45 AM at Central, you might find yourself lonely or late. So be sure to update your calendar so that you come to the right place at the right time: Central Campus at 10 AM. We ask that you do your best to sit toward the front and center when you arrive so that we can fit as many friends as possible in the Worship Center! We will also have the Atrium open for overflow seating.

During the service, we’re excited to have our combined choir back to help lead us in worship, including a new song, “Name Above All Names” by Charity Gayle. This song is a beautiful declaration of Christ’s worthiness and all that he has done for us. You can check it out along with all of our Sunday Song favorites on our “Sunday Songs” playlist on YouTube.

We’ll also hear more about the new 40 Days of Prayer guide that Pastor Mark has been teasing for a few weeks. Physical copies of the guide will be available as you leave the building, and a digital copy will be available on our website as well.

Chili Cook-off

Immediately following the service, our students and student ministry leaders will get to work transforming the Worship Center into chili cook-off central! Jumping in and helping set up tables is highly encouraged as we embrace the “many hands make light work” part of the Household Initiative.

The chili cook-off is a fundraiser for our students to help send them on retreats and summer camp where they will grow in their faith and serve others. There are two fundraising opportunities at the event:

  • Free-will donations: cash, check, or online donations to the “PSM Missions” fund will be accepted during the event. You do not have to pay to taste chili, but it is greatly appreciated by the students and leaders who are making this event possible.
  • Pie-in-the-face contest: Use your dollars to vote for your favorite pastor or staff person to get a pie to the face! The pastor or staff with the most $$ in their bucket at the end of the event will be pied in the face.

Chili registrations are now closed, but if you missed the deadline and still want to enter your chili, contact the office.

If you’re just planning to attend the cook-off and not compete, great! We need people to vote for the best in the following categories: best name, best decorations, best traditional chili, and best non-traditional chili. It’s up to you to determine the winners. And, bonus points if you practice your Household Initiative skills while you’re hanging out:

  • Walk in their shoes: be the first to greet a new face and make them feel welcomed and like they belong.
  • Many hands make light work: jump in and serve where you see a need.
  • Don’t wait to get real: let’s be a people who talk about Jesus outside of the 60-70 minutes of worship service, getting beyond the classic small talk for real conversations, real prayer, and real encouragement for each other.
PSM Super Bowl Party

Students in 6th-12th grade are encouraged to come back at 5 PM to watch the game, eat snacks, and play games! Check out the latest PSM email for more details.

40-Day Prayer Guide

One of our commitments this year is to pray – to pray more together as a church and for one another and to grow in our individual prayer lives. On Super Sunday, we’ll be introducing a new prayer guide that will help us pray and fast to refocus on God.

Physical copies will be available at both campuses starting Sunday, 2/11. You may also choose to download a digital copy:
