Plan Your Visit
Attending a church for the first few times can be intimidating, so we hope these FAQs help you prepare for Sunday and make your experience as comfortable as possible. You can always contact us if you have questions:
At Central Campus, we gather to worship on Sundays at 9:45 AM. The service lasts about 65-70 minutes and features Biblical preaching, singing, prayer, and more.
Music
Our music style is a blend of contemporary and traditional Christian music. Typically, our band includes a piano and/or keyboard, acoustic, electric and bass guitars, drums, and two to four vocalists. We project the lyrics to each song on large screens above the stage, encouraging the congregation to sing and worship the Lord.
Preaching
Our teaching is expositional in style, meaning our sermons are based on a passage of Scripture. We typically work through one book of the Bible at a time. We desire for our teaching to be faithful to the Bible, centered on the good news of the forgiveness of sins in Jesus, and relevant to life. Each sermon lasts around 35 minutes.
We have a Family Check-In station located to the back and left as you come in the front doors. Our Check-In Assistants will help you find the right room for your kids and provide security name tags for them.
Kids programming for ages birth through 5th grade is available during the 9:45 AM service. You can learn more about our Kids’ programming here.
Junior High students (6th-8th grade) are welcome to join our Sunday morning youth programming. They typically sit together during the music portions of the main worship service and leave during the sermon for an age-appropriate lesson with our Student Ministries staff. You can learn more about our Students’ (6th-12th grade) programming here.
If you prefer, children are always welcome in the service, and we often have activity bags available.
There’s no dress code and we’re generally very casual. If you feel like wearing a suit, go ahead, and if you feel like wearing a t-shirt and jeans, that’s great too. Just be yourself.
If you are the type of person that gets chilly in a movie theater, you might consider bringing a light jacket.
At the end of the service, you will be sent with a Benediction, or Good Word, by someone up front. If you need prayer or have questions following the service, we always have a few church leaders available at the front of the Worship Center to help you. Otherwise, you can exit back out the entrance doors or the side doors located at all of the corners of the Worship Center. Feel free to check out our Connect Center, grab a cup of coffee, and stick around and chat!
We hope to see you again next week!
Our church is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and we affirm their Statement of Faith. You can read more about that here.
