Killing Lust

Heb. 12:1 encourages us to “…lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us….” How are we to kill lust when in 1998 there were only 14 million web pages of pornography, but today there are over 1.79 billion – available on your phone just one click away? How are we going to kill lust when there is virtually no difference in the use of pornography whether single, married, Christian, non-Christian, pastor, professor, or farmer? How are we going to kill lust when its grip on us is similar to the addiction of heroin and cocaine, but even harder to break? Why should we kill it? Is there a healthy motivation, and if so, how?
