Unite
K to 3rd grade
Available during the 9 and 10:30am services
In K-3rd grade, UNITE kids learn about different virtues which reflect God’s character and can be used in their daily lives. UNITE uses 252 Basics curriculum which is centered around 3 basic truths from Luke 2:52:
- I can TRUST God no matter what
- I need to make the WISE choice
- I should treat OTHERS the way they want to be treated
The Structure
Small Groups: Plug-In (15 minutes)
Plug-In is designed to introduce children to the day’s topic in a setting that gives them individualized attention from their Small Group Leader and plenty of interaction with a small group of peers.
Large Group: Power Up (20-25 minutes)
Large Group is designed to engage children in worship in a large group setting. Music, prayer, and an innovative approach to the Bible story are always a part of this interactive time. All Kids K-3rd meet for Large Group together.
Small Groups: Catch On (25-30 minutes)
Catch On is designed to help kids understand how the day’s topic applies to them. They’ll discuss real-life experiences, interact with a close-knit group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles. Life-application and memory-verse activities, as well as prayer, are always a part of this hands-on time. Kids finish the hour in Small Groups in their classrooms
For Parents
We are committed to modeling God’s love and teaching His Word to UNITE kids.
We encourage you, as a parent, to be involved in your child’s spiritual growth. Each week UNITE classes provide two family activity sheets, a “God Time” devotional, and a “Refrigerator Activity Sheet.” Make sure to take home these handouts when you pick up your kids from class so you can reinforce the lesson as a family at home.
Other ways you can help your child grow in his/her relationship with Jesus:
- Read God’s book, the Bible, as a family.
- Give your child their own age-appropriate Bible.
- Talk to God in prayer as a family daily.
- Serve as a family in a Parkview ministry.
“We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did.” – Psalm 78:4
Missed Sunday morning?
Check out Studio252 for a full video presentation of today’s lesson! The site also includes devotions, activities, music, and games that continue the Unite experience at home.
Launch
4th to 6th grade
Available during the 9am service
This includes:
- Giving kids the opportunity to apply Bible lessons to their daily lives.
- Helping kids see their relationship with Christ as an individual and personal relationship
- Creating a pattern of daily devotion and prayer time at an early age.
- Allowing kids to see their value as leaders in their faith right now.
Launch’s key verse is 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
The Structure
Opening (10 minutes)
The opening time is designed to be a time for students to get to know each other and hold each other accountable for weekly devotionals, scripture memory, and bringing their Bible to Launch. Students also participate in one of six stations that they will cycle through during the year. The stations teach concepts like a Biblical timeline, books of the Bible, Bible trivia, memory verses, and the location of Biblical places
Large Group (25-30 minutes)
Small Groups (20-30 minutes)
BLITZ nights
Blitz nights are monthly events for 4th-6th graders that take place outside of Sunday morning.
They are fun-filled nights packed with games, food, and gospel-centered messages. This is an awesome opportunity for outreach so friends are invited to this free event. Times and dates vary but are announced during Launch on Sunday mornings
For Parents
One of the major goals of our Launch program is to help students develop habits that will give them a solid Biblical foundation before entering junior high.
It would be a great encouragement for your kids if you would support and help them with these goals. Each week, your kid will leave with a devotional. This has a passage and questions for each day of the week, a memory verse for the month, and an area for prayer requests. Encourage your students when they come home to complete the devotional and bring it back the next Sunday.
Other ways you can help your child grow in their faith:
- Read God’s word, the Bible, as a family.
- Give your child their own age-appropriate Bible.
- Talk to God in prayer as a family daily.
- Serve as a family in a Parkview ministry.
- Model what it means to share God’s word with others
